ECOC 2008 Registration fees

ECOC 2008 Registration fee includes

• access to all ECOC2008 sessions
• access to all Sunday Workshops
• access to the ECOC 2008 Exhibition
• a USB-stick with ECOC2008 Conference Proceedings (excl. Post-Deadline Papers)
• a CD-ROM with ECOC2008 Conference Proceedings incl. Post-Deadline Papers
  (available on Thursday 25 September 2008)
• access to the ECOC2008 “Get-Together-Drink” (Sunday 21 September 2008)
  
• access to the ECOC2008 “Welcome Reception” (Monday 22 September 2008)
  (if registered before 15 September 2008)
• 10 vouchers for coffee breaks
• a 3-day ticket for travel on the METRO & Public transport network in Brussels

Reduced registration fees

are implied to all members of the following supporting organisations:

• EUREL (Convention of National Societies of Electrical Engineers of Europe)
• EOS (European Optical Society)
• EPS (European Physical Society)
• IEEE-LEOS (IEEE Laser & Electro-Optics Society)
• IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology)
• OSA (Optical Society of America)
• OSK (Optical Society of Korea)
• IEICE (Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, Japan)

Please have your membership number ready as this will be required to qualify for a reduced registration fee.

VAT

• 6% VAT is included in the ECOC 2008 entrance fees to the sessions
• 21% VAT is included in the additional fee for the conference diner & printed proceedings (if selected)
• All registered participants will receive (at the event) an invoice stating the VAT included in the fees.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

• Delegates cancelling their registration before August 15, 2008 will be entitled to a full refund minus 100,00 Euro covering administration costs
• There will be no refunds for cancellations received after August 15, 2008 .
• Delegates registering and not showing up at the Conference will not get any reimbursement.
• Cancellations must be confirmed in writing to the Organising Secretariat. All refunds will be processed after the Conference.
• Name substitutions are accepted until September 19, 2008 at an extra charge of 100,00 Euro.
  
  

Proceedings

• The ECOC2008 registration fee only includes Proceedings in electronic form (USB-stick & CD-ROM).
• ECOC2008 will only produce printed proceedings on demand.
• Please indicate on the registration page if you want to order printed proceedings (at an extra cost)

• Workshop 7 (Photonic Foundries)
  Towards foundries for photonic components and circuits
• Workshop 8 (Future Internet)
  2nd Workshop on Future Internet Design (FID)
• Workshop 9 (Convergence)
  Everything converged: today, tomorrow and after tomorrow

Access to these workshops is free, however registration is mandatory in order to get access to the session rooms.
Please indicate your choice of workshop (1 per half day)

Co-Registration with MOC2008 (only valid for on-line registration)

MOC2008 (http://tona.vub.ac.be//MOC08) will be co-located with ECOC2008.

Registration for both events will result in a reduced registration fee (reduction by € 50 per event)

(only valid for on-line registration)

If you click "I will also attend MOC2008 Conf.”  the reduction of € 50 will be manually deduced from your ECOC2008 registration fee if a valid registration for MOC2008 is received.
